Cry for a Shadow

(Louis Colli)

Sometimes I sit all alone
As day turns into blackest night
And I see your wandering shadow
Cast in the bluish moon light
Like a ghost that will never leave
You still haunt the same old places
Sometimes my spirit joins you
And I see the outline of our faces
Then as night turns into day
And the sun replaces the moon
Our shadows start to disappear
And your essence leaves the room
Now only a small trace remains
And how I really wish it would go
Because I can think of nothing sadder
Than to miss you and cry for a shadow
